7.3 cylinder wear?
On a 7.3 engine, what is more likely to wear before the other?
Cylinder wear or piston ring wear?
Thanks

Can't answer from experience for the 7.3 but every engine I've dealt with before it's the rings that are the farthest from their original measurements.

When I opened my motor with 300k miles the cylinders still had cross hatching. Low compression from getting dusted.

The cylinder that got the hit was scored. I had to bore it so complete rebuild. I'm still in the process on the obs forums

okay,
I'm hoping more for dusting and ring wear. I probably won't be so lucky but who knows. A guy can always hope to get lucky.
