Help identifying front suspension and steering setup

Can you guys help me identify the front suspension and steering setup in my 56'? I want to replace the linkage and go through everything but I'm not sure what vehicle their out of. Here are some pics (sorry for the poor quality).

partial part # on power steering

Thanks,

Greg

Looks like Plymouth Volare. Mid 70's to about '82 I think....

OMG what is that?!?! Aside from the weld(?), the metal adjacent looks to be either undercoated or rusted to hell. Is that typical of the welds??

Seems to be a shot thru the steer box and what you have circled is part of the driver side motor mount. With that swap, driver side mount is a problem with steering box interference. The first one I did played all kinds of challenging situations for me, motor mounts, power steering pump mounts etc. My next one I moved the motor to passenger side 1 3/4 and those issues went away but passenger exhaust became an issue, but not as intense as the first time.
I would probably check those welds after cleaning the undercoat off for my own piece of mind.
Even with those problems I still like that swap. As with any transplant issues will arise

It could also be a Diplomat. That is what I used in my 55. Not every transverse torsion bar set up is a Volare. Just saying.

Yep, late '70's MOPAR torsion bar. I got the same swap in my '53. In case you haven't figured it out yet, you can adjust the ride height of the front end. Just be sure to re-check the front end alinement after adjusting up or down.

Thanks a lot guys. Appreciate it. I'm gonna go through everything and refresh/replace as necessary. I have some play in my steering and body roll I'd like to tighten up.
