radiator crack 20k miles

Ok guys so last week I noticed a hairline crack in the radiator. It would only leak when the truck was off. Long story short, they had to replace it. Now, I have no a/c so I figured maybe they forgot to charge it. Turns out, condenser "suddenly" goes bad. But back to my question, has anybody had radiator problems?

It may not save you any money in the end, but Mishimoto has released their improved design, aftermarket radiator for the 6.7. It may be a better option if you plan to keep the truck for a while.

Sorry OP. I had actually meant that in response to David being quoted $1300 for the dealer to replace his outside of warranty.
If you still have warranty coverage when or if yours starts to leak, by all means have it replaced for free.
As far as warranty coverage and voiding it goes, they would be hard pressed to say that your deletes caused the failure of the radiator. They can only void warranty on parts that could be affected by the aftermarket parts. If you're interested, ask me about the expensive lesson I just learned.

I purchased an extended warranty but it didn't include a radiator cause it has over 100k miles on it, otherwise it's a good truck.
The reason I took it into the dealer for service in the first place was to have all the fluids changed including the transfer case.
That's when the tech found the leak.
It's a small leak now, so I think I can buy a month or so to shop around for a new one.

I noticed my coolant was low last night too. Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone have any pictures of the common spots that the 6.7 radiators leak at?

I haven't had much luck finding pictures.

I'm going to top off my truck and snoop around to night to see if I too have a radiator problem.
