hydralic clutch 1993 F-250

The hydrolic slave cylinder on my 1993 F-250 located inside the transmission housing has gone bad and leaks fluid out the bottom of the housing. My question is how do you go about replacing this cylinder? There appears to be an access cover located on the side of the transmission housing but I don't know if it will provide access to the cylinder? I was told that I may have to drop the entire tranny. Is this true? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank You.

I hate to be the one to give you the bad news but you do have to drop the transmission to replace the slave cylinder if in is the concentric kind.
