2001 F250 Heater Blender Door Actuator

Hey there Guys,
I am new to this site, so g'day.
I have a 2001 F250, and the heater blender door actuator/mechanism needs swapping out. I have seen how it's done, with access via removing the glove box inner.
My problem is that I have an Aussie Compliance model, RHD with no glove box.
Any idea how I can access the actuator? Will I need to remove all the plastic dash etc, if so, how do I go about this?

Cheers Guys.

G'day, welcome to the forum mate.
Sorry but I can't help with your problem, I have a glovebox free
dash as well.
I am pretty confident someone on here will have an answer
for you though.

yep. thats a tuff one. I doubt anyone here has tackled that problem and the boys in the States wont be any help. My guess is that the dash has to come off. I would ask the people that do the conversions.

Had similar issues with air doing its own recirculation trip around under the dash.
Let the vent system go to default during the winter up at Guyra for some defogging action but now its summer, the need for the A/c to blow out the face vents is a priority Just a B'std of a job.

Wink

Another issue with air direction within the system I've found is the foam between the plastic parts has disintegrated over the life of the vehicle, leading to "air leaks" in the direction of ventilation. The blend door was another leakage. Replacing the foam, has eliminated that part of the leaks but there's more to be located yet.
Cabin "cooling" is the main issue down here, as we don't suffer from the endless "bollocking" cold winters you blokes endure in the northern hemisphere.

Its a pity there isn't ability to direct more outside venting at your feet in these trucks, so WD@60 (Window down @ 60mph) air conditioning is about the best one can do.
