So this programmer is designed for a 2004 and up to i forget what year. As far as i know there is no major changes from 2002- 2004 but maybe im wrong? Anyway, i havent payed for it yet and im just trying it out to see if it works so its no major loss. Im just wondering if anyone else has attempted to make this tuner work with their same style truck prior to 2004 and if anyone has been successful? Any advice or anything would be great

 

I'm not sure I understand about what tuner you have.
97 to 2003 are the same.
Only the Heritage model in 04 is the same.
The rest of the models in 04 up have a different operating system.
Unless the tuner can handle both versions, it will not work on one of them.

Oh okay, thats gives me a better understanding. I dont have the manual with me to tell you exactly what tuner. Its called bully dog gauge gt tuner or something along those lines. I think in the manual it says the only ford gas trucks its compatible with are from '04-09'. I guess theres no way to re-write anything to make it work? I figured id ask because id only be paying $150 instead of $700
