Take Dave's advice.
Clean all that nasty cack off, and drive it a bit.
Do add gearlube if you are low though.

 

That's what I plan to do. And thank both of you for your help.

I should be on my way to getting this thing road worthy.

 

UPDATE

You were right ArdWrknTrk. It was mainly that old blowed out power steering pump. The front diff is leaking a little but since it's so easy to add gear oil I just plan to keep an eye on it through the winter.


I bought a timing set specifically to set the timing straight up. Though I ran out of time to do it before it got cold but I have it none the less. Along with a new Gates water pump. I will likely use them both when I rebuild it in the spring. Which I'm really looking forward to.
