side note, I filled up the other day and noticed it was biodeisel after pumping a tank full in. Getting codes of Turbo Performance and Emissions Test not complete.
I would check for exhaust leaks. Can you monitor EGT's and Exhaust Back Pressure? If so, keep an eye on those and get back to us.

Finally found some free time to start getting rid of some of the damn chrome on my truck. Still can't for the life of me understand why the previous owner put this crap on it. I have had it for almost 3 years and just couldn't stand it anymore.

Also got an updated set of tuning (shout out to Jeremy and Mike at NoLimit Fab) from Gearhead. Finally have a tow tune that I actually enjoy driving and the sound change/turbo whistle with the veins commanded open at idle sounds epic. Now just waiting on a set of Fox 2.0s and I can get to work on tires and leveling kit as well.

replaced the two fan belt idler pulleys and the tensioner today. scratched up my forearms pretty good, but very easy otherwise. I couldn't believe the difference in the tensioner spring difference between the old and the new one. Quieted the engine noise tremendously.

today I replaced my rusted out rear brake dust shields, replaced the parking brake shoes and all the hardware, did a tire rotation and took it for a spin. no more brake squeal and no steering shake for a while. Next I will be replacing all three tie rod ends and the drag link.

i still have to replace the fluids in the trans and transfer case, and both differentials.

Which leveling kit did you use? Where you happy with it? Ease of install? Did it move your alignment much? How much lift in the front?

I used Motofab from ebay. 2" leveling kit. I didn't think the alignment changed much but I had it done anyway.

Like most things, I could do the install in half the time if I did it again! But it wasn't too bad, did it in my driveway. The trick was getting the suspension low enough to install the springs with the spacer, taking it out was pretty easy. Hard to jack up such a big truck high enough.

So far I am happy with it. Good luck!

I haven't been back here for a long time... it's been two weeks ago since I sold mine. Well really the selling took place two months earlier, but two weeks ago the new owner came and picked it up. It was a great truck and letting it go was a long process...but I had to.
It got every ding and dent fixed and the color changed to Caribou Metallic. Then it went to its new home not far from Seattle, WA.

Was cruising the craigslist and found Rancho RS5000 series shocks that were only used for a couple of weeks. Went to check them out and they looked brand new. Got them for 80, put them in and so far I noticed a big difference in how the suspension responds. My truck had the original shocks in the rear and Blistein 5100 in the front. The truck has always felt out of balance front to rear. I am liking the Ranchos so far, although the truck does feel a little like an 85 Cadillac lol. I think my next step will be adjustable damping shocks so i can make the suspension a little stiffer for when i tow

This thread seems to have fallen by the wayside! I don’t do much with my 6.4L anymore. As you’ll see several posts back, I sold mine. But I had to come back. A few months later I purchased another 2008 6.4L that came with worn rockers. I did them and also went with stage 2 billet camshaft from Colt Cams. Anyway, my truck stands in the front yard because it looks good. Otherwise, I drive the car for commuting.
