Not going to miss them for a second... Wish they could actually say what good they will do and how they plan to implement their ideas, not just find everything that is wrong with the opposing candidate...
If they told you what they are going to do (and, just as important, not do) nobody would vote for them. What should have happened a long time ago, is a "None Of The Above" option instead of "Coke or Pepsi?"
I also think that Congress shouldn't be a jobs program. The idea of serving wasn't supposed to be a lifetime occupaton.
Yes, the "serving" part has been turned on its head. Even good people get corrupted in DC, all the perks and stuff.
Another thing that would work is to draft people for public positions via lottery. Part of the problem is competent, trustworthy types often avoid politics altogether.
