77 F100 and it begins

Hey All

Been reading the forums for quite a while now and doing research and it finally got me motivated to start my project.

As the title states 77 F100 Custom, my dad bought it off the show room floor and I inherited about 10 years ago. It is going to be a big undertaking as I want to take it to the frame and rebuild it to suit me.

I have a question in regards to motor mounts utilizing the CV swap IFS....Do you have to fully fab the mount frames for a 351M? I am going to rebuild and stroke this back to a 400.

Thanks in advance and here are a couple of pics, the start and where it is currently.

Welcome to FTE!

Looks like you have a solid truck to start with.

Cross the engine perch/mount bridge when ya get to it.. right now, tear down!

Btw, preserve your sanity! Roll that rig out and powerwash it. You'll thank yourself.

So this week been busy with continuing to tear down. Thought I may have a solid cab, but I have a lot of cancer in the cab. Still have to roll out the chassis and give it a bath to clean up the grease, maybe this weekend.........

Was thinking about going for the Flintstone flooring option.

At first glance I was thinking that was shiny paint poking through, then realized it was the shop floor peeking through.

Good looking rig you are starting with. Happy to see another one being restored too and it's staying in the family. I restored a 69 ltd my grandfather had and knowing it's going to be passed down to my son makes it a little more special to me.

That is the plan, my two boys (23) and (17) argue daily over who is going to inherit the truck. Now that I have been slowing working on it, my daughter (12) is becoming interested. I guess we will have cross that bridge when we get to it LOL. I still plan on being on this earth for few more years LOL.

My son is only 2 months old, but I am already making plans for what he is going to drive and what cars/trucks we are going to build together lol. One of my daughters may want to fight him for it though. Her first word was "up" but her third word was "muskang" and she loves cars more than most boys. She is only 3 but has been driving for as long as she could sit up(we live in a very small country town, only happens on private property, don't try this at home, etc). So don't count your little one out just because she is a girl
