Tilt steering wheel was first offered as an extra cost option for 1978 F100/350, Bronco & Econoline. It was not available with 3 speed manual, 4 speed manual & A/T only.
The problem with 1961/66's is, the cabs are tight, leg room can be wanting, the 3 spoke 17" or 4 spoke 18" steering wheels do not allow for much "belly" room.
Some members of this forum like garbz2 and Bill W don't have a problem, but if your over 6' feet tall & 200 lbs. that is the problem.
Plus the older you get, the tighter the cabs become, especially when "Arthur" arrives.
