I posted a similar thread in the IDI forum, but being familiar as I am with that place, based off of the amount of action I have got, Its not looking good.


I am doing a gasser to IDI swap, and instead of swapping the entire truck harness out like I did in my truck, I am wondering if you can just swap out the gasser tach for the diesel tach, and run a couple of wires to the sensor.


I have searched, an got some info, but not quite the amount that I am after, any help would be appreciated.

 

It will work, use the tach wire from the gasser and ground the other one for the diesel sensor and it will work, only difference is on the diesel they run both wires into the cab then ground one and send the other wire to the tach.
