69 f250 crew transmission

Good day, I have picked up a 69 crew this spring, it is 4x4 with a 4 speed and 360 motor. I have decided to put a first gen 5.9 Cummings in it. My thoughts are to leave front and rear diffs original with 4/11 gears. Would like to keep the divorced t-case as well. Not sure what do with the tranny though. I would like to put a 5 speed in. It will be my towing rig for 5th wheel and boat(b-train). Would like to know what you guys would do for the transmission, Should I use a 5-speed from 5.9 donor 4x4 truck(if so do I need a 2wheel drive tranny, or can you buy a cone for the same transmission) Other idea was a newer ford 6 speed from superduty, Or I guess I could keep the original 4 speed(not sure its tough enough?? or if you can get adapter for it)would be nice to have overdrive though. I will be putting in 4 inch lift and running 35 inch tires as well. Any thoughts appreciated.

Either getrag trans or nv4500 from donor truck in 2wd or get a slip yoke on the divorced t case driveshaft to fit the 4wd trans. No you can't use the 4 speed trans from the crew cab nobody makes the adapter plate that I know of.

Wrongo! The original 6BT swap guys (used to be FordCummins.com) have a kit for the NP-435/T-18 even though they don't recommend it:

I never paid attention to the ford cummins people seen acouple negative things on them in threads and I'm a DIY guy so I made my own stuff. Not bashing them at all as I have no experience with there stuff but I'm sure the adapters are good just the mounts I heard were iffy who knows not me. Let's see pics of the crew cab
