fuel selector valve hoses for a 6/77 F-250 4x4

during my process of going thru the fuel system in my truck and replacing ALL the rubber fuel lines/vapor lines, my 3 fuel selector valve hoses are extremely brittle. Does anybody know where i can get new ones ? LMC doesnt show any. thanks, Chris

The Ford parts catalog has the note "improvise from bulk hose". So use 3/8" fuel line. Do yourself a favor, use quality fuel line.
The Chinese $*** is just that, it doesn't last.

Common replacement fuel hose from the AP store should work fine (3/8" most likely but check). Anything sold today should be compatible with alcohol. "Fuel injection" rated hose may be better but not necessary.

FWIW the aux tank hoses on my truck failed first. They got soft as cellophane when wet with fuel and sucked shut.

Look for hose that says "SAE 30R9" on it, and (if you can find it) "Made in U.S.A."

i was gonna use bulk hose but they have a 180 degree bend and a 90 degree bend. maybe a small heater hose or throttle body heater hose ? or maybe bend up some tubing with a small 3/8 hose for a connector piece ?

If you're concerned about the hoses collapsing because of the bends, what I've done in the past is either like you said, bend a steel tube and use short pieces of hose for couplings or I've also taken a long coil spring, something like a screen door spring, and put it in the hose. This will keep the hose from collapsing when you bend it.

A spring over the hose at the bend will help it not to collapse .

Chris, you're over-thinking this. None of the hoses that connect the selector valve are, or ever were, preformed, they are just regular fuel hose. None of the bends necessary to connect everything up should cause a kinking problem.
