Larger Oil Filter for 7.3L

Larger Oil Filter for 7.3L
I was informed that there was a larger oil filter for the 7.3L that can be used. I was told that it only helps, and it makes sense that it has more filtration with there being more of the element to pass thru. The fact that it requires more oil, which in turn can aide with cooling as it has more oil continuously flowing. But, you would think that once the engine is at a certain temp, then it wouldn't matter. I have been using these filters for some time now, without any issues.
Being that it's an International engine, you can pick these filters up from any International dealer. I found that they can also be ordered from Amazon as well. They screw right on and seal with no issues.
Part Number: Fleetguard - LF3374
I was wondering if anybody else is aware of this, and if so what are your thoughts or experiences?

I also use the LF3374. Been using it a couple of years, oil takes longer to turn black. The Donaldson shown is more than just a filter. The numbers show it filters much better than any filter available. If you do oil analysis this would be the filter to use to stretch oil change intervals.

A few quarts actually. I don't recall the exact #s but the Fleetguard filters to approx. 10 micron which is much better than the Motorcraft filter. The Donaldson filters even better than the Fleetguard. If you do extended oil changes based on oil analysis, these filters should help extend the oil life. That is the theory anyway. These filters are used in semi trucks and heavy equipment and the Donaldson is marketed to extend oil changes to over 100k miles.

Slightly additional oil cooling as well.
Now that I think about it, though, with my bypass filtration system in place, I really don;t need either the tighter Donaldson or the additional cooling sump volume because I've already gained both of those benefits. Filter envy is now effectively eliminated in my mind.

Fleetguard LF3374 = Baldwin B99-SS
Donaldson ELF7405; Fleetguard LF3566 =B7249-MPG
Info from old thread (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-filter.html):
Absolute @ 98.7% / Nominal @ 50%
B7249-MPG: 10 micron / "too low to calculate"
B7299: 25 micron / 12 micron
B7039 (OEM cross): 25 micron / 12 micron
B99: 45 micron / 23 micron
B49: 40 micron / 18 micron
I run a 7039, not sure if the other Baldwins will fit or not (larger OD)...

Well, they are no longer black, they have changed the color and now they are a sickly blue color Anyway, I have used them for years and with my by-pass, I run oil changes at 15-20k. Good thing I bought a case and still have 4 more sitting in the garage
Edit: Here is where I get mine: http://www.ryderfleetproducts.com/do...-p-w26-dbl7405

It's just nominally better efficiency than the factory filter, at $25 a pop for the big filter, wouldn't you be better served building one of Pop's bypass filter systems?
