Running board installation

Hey everyone,

Are the running boards on a 1950 supposed to be put on last during reassembly or first? I realize that all the pieces need to be left loose to make small adjustment/fitment tweaks. Just want to be sure I am not putting parts on and then realizing they need to go on at a later time.

Thanks in advance...

Randy

Either way gets you installed. The bigger deal is your spot on approach of fitting before tightening.

IMO it's much easier (less likely to scratch paint, etc) if you put on the front fenders, then the RB's, then the rear fenders..

I believe the earlier trucks had a large skirt on the running boards that went under the cab, where the later ones did not. If you have the skirted boards, it may be easier to put those on first, as my understanding is the skirt kind of wrestles under the cab and the fenders can be in the way.
