Buzz44 thanks for the kind words. My radiator support is original, springs were still there and look OK. ----TA455HO....I was in the Depot today - again - and they thanked me for shopping there, so I guess all is good...

78 F250 AXLE SCORE

Ahoy fellow enthusiasts. Today I scored a set of Dana 60 axles from a 78 / 79 F-250, front being high pinion, both 3:54 ratio. Thanks 1972RedNeck for talking sense about the Sterling / Dana 50.

I've never seen a shock do that front rust. That's kinda impressive.

Are you going to utilize the anti sway bar?

Dude you gotta get out more often, theres a whole world of interesting rust patterns in the NE of USA... Im kinda thinking the sway bar thing might be a good idea. He didn't have the front one so I'll maybe source one this year. Anything to help the Ox cart handling should help..??

Update / Progress

Howdy all...been away for awhile, work and life stuff...ya know. Back in the garage for another round of teardown. As of today I am all the way to bare frame and tentative schedule next week for blasting and powder coating the frame. It's all "up hill" from here!

Nope not yet. Luckily mine aren't terrible. I am probably going to mill new rubber mounts out of rubber stock. Need to find the original density numbers to get the correct stock. We'll see. Long way to go yet. Found out why my truck had so many grunts and groans, worn hangars for the leafs. Im sure theres more to the rattles than that but something to address.
