Air Intake Tube rubber Seals

trying to locate the two rubber seals located at each end of the plastic Air Intake Tube or Duct;

one side of the Tube or Duct connects to the aluminum intake at the engine, and the other side of the tube or duct connects to the Air Filter Box.

There are two stainless steel Clamps. Under each clamp there is a rubber Seal or Gasket.

my seals or gaskets are becoming gooey, falling apart. Need to replace them.

Any help appreciated. My engine is a 4.0 liter. (the picture below shows the 3.0 liter duct but the seals are the same).

I never really inspected it that closely, but I always thought that it was all one piece. If there's an Aerostar in your local pull-a-part that entire tube is probably just laying there close by.

If it's no longer available from Ford, I would check the boneyards near you. In fact, now that you mentioned it, I think I'll do that this weekend.

I would also check Rangers, probably the same part.
Aeros are rare as Mercury pickups in the junke yards here, exported to China.

1990/2001 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog (Illustration section 96, page 20) does not show any individual seals, just the hose, which is Aerostar only.

F69Z-9B659-AA .. Engine Air Cleaner Outlet Tube Assy / Obsolete / Last MSRP: $59.47 - Dealer net cost: $35.68.
.
Applications: 1996/97 Aerostar 4.0L / No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Both the early 90s Explorer and Aero list F3TZ 9E926-AA for a Throttle body and FO7Z-12B579-AARM for MAFs so an Explorer hose rubber ends off of a F47Z 9B659-A "should in theory work"

A little research in the junkyard before buying new might be worth it sense the hose lists for $155.80.
