no fuel

My truck quit running while driving the other day. It has done this before, but has always restarted. It just quit running and wouldn't restart. It has fuel, and the fuel filter has been changed. I changed the fuel pump twice, thinking I got a bad one from the parts store. I changed the fuel pump relay and fuse, and checked the fuel shutoff switch. I can take the line off the back of the fuel filter, the one that goes to the tank, and turn the key on, and no fuel comes out at all. I can even turn the engine over, and I still get no fuel. I tried to spray some carb cleaner in the intake, and still get nothing. What are the chances of the fuel shutoff switch being bad? Any other help would be awesome. Oh, it is a 1997 Ford F-150 4.6L V8 4x4 manual transmission. It is a supercab.

Much of the description suggest the PCM is losing power.
Reseat or swap the PCM relay and fuse.
See what that does for you.
Spraying starter fluid and getting no response means no spark.
No fuel pump operation means no power or ground to the pump.
Key on and no pump or cranking and no pump also can mean no ground to the pump via the PCM. The pump circuit has to get it's operating ground from the PCM.
Seams it all ties together.
Good luck.

You said you sprayed carb cleaner into the intake, hope you meant starting fluid as the cleaner ain't gonna fire.
