cant help there, but I am curious why the one with the 45° won't work??

 

The 45 degree one hits the snorkel. Sorry Rich. I thought I had one. I have to go to the secret parts yard. I'll see if he has one.

I got the firewall made and installed on the '48. Also got the driver's toe panel made and in. As soon as the cab is one piece again, I can mount the steering column and pedal assemblies.











Not perfect, but not bad. The firewall was too big to fit in the bead roller and the lack of welded seams was more important than stiffener rib being perfect.

 

Yes what he said, it hits the snorkel (emissions stuff)....no sweat Alan I found one in my parts truck air filter. Its in the mail tomorrow.

 

nice alan.. i guess we need to design a "deep throat" bead roller .. ha ha ha ha ha

here is how the original six bangers were mounted.. i guess i would have to actually go out back to find a radiator support..dont see the one i am looking for in my pictures
