Yeah, how 'bout that? One minute you can't wait until it cools back down - the next you find yourself counting how many cords of wood you have stacked up.

It's still hot as a beast though.

It IS very hot. The thermometer doesn't read as high as it did a few weeks back, but the heat seems more oppresive this week. Maybe the weather has beaten us dow and wore us out...

Hope everyone has transitioned from the long weekend back into the work week. Have a GREAT Wednesday.

Got near 50% humidity, I've been working on my vans interior, insulating and covering the walls, built a platform in the back for my bed, I wind up with my shirt stuck to me, totally soaked in sweat, I wait to do it in the evening. I have until the first weekend in October to have a bed in this thing, the heat is killing me, I have yet to tackle putting in a thermostat and replacing the fuel line up front, tossing out all that return line crap that Ford put on.

Reminds me - I need to order replacement screens for most of my windows.

More than half were destroyed by those who no longer live here, the rest are in rough shape. This occurs to me because any time the temps drop at night a box fan is a lot cheaper to run than an A/C unit.

Trouble with that though is that it lets all of the humidity into the place...

If I lived in an abandoned MINE it would be a lot less expensive.

I've been working on my shop at night. I am ready to set the heat & air unit so that heat problem is about fixed.

Its been down in the seventies most of this week. I've been gradually poking my nose outside more and more.

Funny - most wolves hibernate in the winter, I hibernate in the summer!

I can't believe I can't get a futon mattress cheap, I need something to sleep on next weekend and air wont do, it'll not fit in the van, has to fit in a 48" x 70" spot, man I hate last minute stuff. Gettin ready for the van event in October, my interior has been coming together, lookin good stained dark green, luan and red oak panels.
