1956 f100 project from chile
Hi every one!
I want to show my project truck, a 1956 f100 that I bought from a close friend about 8 years ago. he bought it in 1990 when we where in high school, he restored it as a father and son project, I helped him and after that i bought my first car, a 1966 mustang coupe 6 cyl, selling the mustang is one of the greatest regrets in my life... here in chile old cars are very difficult to find.
My friend restored the truck with stock but a little lowered suspension and a 289 c4 drive-train update, but he got tired and left the truck in a shop for almost 8 years, open to the elements: this is how i bought it:
I think it looks good in the picture but the paint was acrylic and completely cracked, with som rust areas and dull.
so I disassembled, I wanted just to paint it and put power steering, I was thinking a toyota box, but I liked the idea of better brakes and ifs, so I went the volare way, really it was the aspen way, I have never seen a volare for sale in chile, but a lot of aspens.
engine refreshing
I have that long headers and a front sump engine, will those headers fit the steering box??
i have this wheels also, i like the lowered with 17 inch wheels look,
I am going very slow because in the last couple of years i got married and have my first son so I am very short in time.
thanks to all!
Kenji
