97 f250 neutral safety switch bypass help
I cant seem to find the right forum for my truck, but this is the closest one I have found for it. I have a 97 F250 super duty with a 460 and a five speed manual transmission. Its been a solid truck. Except for the neutral safety switch. I have had to replace a little bushing in it several times and I would just like to bypass it- possibly to a push button switch on the dashboard.
We pulled the plug off the assembly and it looks like there are red, white, pink and green wires running to it.
Does anyone know what wires I need to jump together to get the truck to start?
If my thread is in the wrong forum, would a mod please relocate it to the correct area?
Thanks
Scott

Theres two ways of going about this, one is you hookup the red with blue stripe wires together and then you dont have to push the clutch in or go to a wreckers and on any automatic in that year range will have a plastic jumper plug hooked up to the same plug. Do note that the nss has 3 switches in it, one to start, one for the clutch to disable cruise and one goes to the ecm, for ease of restoring back to oem in the future i would find the jumper plug
