Removing rear fender flares
I've done a search but can't find what I need to know!
I want to get the rear fender flares on my dually painted, they had a few scuffs when I bought it & I will soon have some spare time to get it sorted. We can't get the truck in the paint booth so taking them off seems like the ideal solution. I have had a quick look & I think it's just a case of removing the plastic liner (screws & clips) then it looks like there are some nuts up inside the steel fender, disconnect the wiring & they should come off!
Has anyone here got experience with this & anything I might be missing, it looks like it should be fairly easy.

Yes they just bolt on. One problem can be if you live in the north the studs get rusty and then the entire clip spins in the flare. Some of them are in tight spots spray them down With your favorite penetrating oil and give it time to work. If the clips with the studs spin you can still get the flare off you just have to deal with getting the clips out later and buying new. Not sure of all years are the same plastic clip with metal stud setup but the ones I have had off do.
