battery locations

Where is a good and practical location for a battery on a 52 F1. Exhaust messes up stock location. Will it fit above future AC hoses or is behind seats a better spot? Maybe under bed

What motor are you using? Stock Flathead or something else? I put a GM HT383 in my '51 F1, and still used the stock battery location. I used rams horn exhaust manifolds. The Toyota PS unit was more of a problem than the battery holder.

4.3 V6 manifold hits stock location. Might try the top of the firewall. Would love to see some pictures of other locations used

55- Ford Panel--- Putting my battery on outside of frame just behind passenger side running board bracket. Approx 24 inches further back and outside of frame.

Optima makes a very compact 6V battery that can be mounted in any position, even upside down. If you are running 12V you can wire 2 in series. Could be mounted side by side behind or under the seat, laying down under the running board or under the bed, or one behind each headlight panel.
