Cam with speed density
So iv got a 89 f150 that I'm puttin a new motor in. It's a 302 roller motor with stock gt40p heads and I'm lookin at adding a small speed density friendly cam. The cam I'm lookin at is a xe264hr from comp cams. Here are the specs
Rpm range:1500-5500
Valve timing:0.006
Lobe separation:112*
Intake centerline:108*
Valve lash intake:hyd-exaughst:hyd
Duration intake:264-exaughst:270
Duration @.050 lift intake:212 exaughst:218
Valve lift intake:0.544 exauhst:0.544
Lobe lift intake:0.321 exauhst:0.321
Will this work for what I need? With stock gt40p heads?

Have you searched for any cam info in this forum??
Lots to read.
112 lobe separation is the limit. 114 lsa is more ideal for sd of our trucks. If you had a maf truck, the 112 may work ok. Your vacuum signal to the map sensor will pulsate, which you can sometimes get away with putting a restrictor inline with a fuel filter as a buffer, but you're just tricking it.
Cold starts will be the biggest issue. Once it's warm it will run better.
I suggest searching and reading. Lots of good info because this topic has been beaten to death over and over.
