Arrow When was your first regen and is this normal???

New truck does it's first regen at 100 miles!

I Experienced my first REGEN last night. We were on the highway for about 20 minutes at 55 MPH when the dash lit up "Cleaning Exhaust Filter".. The odometer was at 100 miles and it lasted until 115 miles. The fuel economy dropped from 14.6 to 13.9 pretty fast.
There was no notification when it was done with the Regen other than the instant fuel economy gauge climbing pretty quickly..

So 100 miles on it and it was already sooted up??? Is that uncommon?

Well it is a 2015, that makes more power, which I would translate into more soot! Normally I think we would say that would be a little frequent, but I'm not so sure about the 2015. How did you like the ride brother? Tell us about how you floored it, I know you had to!

Yes that's normal first regeneration is important it's where pcm starts to set it's adaptive tables and learns selective catalyst tables and nitrogen readings for both nox sensors

It is fine..probably a fair amount of idling as it got to you from the factory as well.

Duration is about normal.

I really haven't really laid into it yet... Trying to be a good boy until it has 500 miles on it.. Then LOOK OUT!!

I do like the ride a lot.. It does not ride like any CC DRW I have ever been in before and it handles great!

Gesundheit!

That is good to know though... It can do all the learning it needs.. I just hope all that power will be there when I ring for it...

Yeah, it was in what was called Transport Mode when I first saw the truck. Evidently the dealer has to unlock it out of that mode to be able to perform normally.. I really have done a fair amount of just putting around town with it - we used to call is ShowBoating...

Thanks guys - I feel better now!
