Turning off interior lights
Before the Excursion, we had an 05 Expedition.
The headlight switch was very similar to the Excursion, with the biggest difference being that if you rolled the dimmer switch all the way down, it would turn off the interior lights.
I know there is a mod for splicing into the wires in the kick panel to accomplish this, but has anyone confirmed that using a switch like the one in the Expedition would not work?
I took my switch apart as far as I could, and it looked like there was a provision for this, but it couldn't turn that far when assembled. It seems to make sense that if it can turn them all on, why couldn't the same set of wires disable them also??
Again, just wondered if anyone has tried it. I am going to call around and see how cheap I can find one for local and give it a closer look, unless someone else has already tried it.
