Key stuck in lock cylinder - will this drain battery?

Well, my stupid key that's been getting stickier and trickier to remove finally is stuck and I can't get it out. Truck starts fine and I can turn it off and have done so leaving the key in about the position I think it should be when removing key. I know I get the ding-ding-dingy noise when I open the door since the key is in there, but if I close the door, will I be draining the battery at all? Seems like it should be fine to just leave the damn key in there as long as I turn off the truck and leave it in about the position I would before removing the key.

p.s. I replaced the lock cylinder a while back, with a genuine ford lock cylinder.

It won't drain it, I've left the keys in the ignition before like that and it won't drain it, I'd be more worried about someone breaking into it and driving away with the thing. Even if I locked the doors.

Try this --- if the steering wheel is locked, try moving it left to right and try to locate the side that feels "springy". Once you locate the "springy" side then apply even pressure on the steering wheel in that direction and try removing the key.

Tri-Flo works well on locks, let it drip down the key.

Well, I finally got the key out, wiggling it up and down. The lock cylinder as I said is fairly new, right from the Ford Parts desk, so I didn't cheap out on some non-Ford one, so why is this happening? I do have some tri-flo, maybe I'll shoot a quick some of that on the key and work it around in the cylinder?
