Aftermarket mirror vibration

Ok so I bought 1 aftermarket mirror 2 months back b/c the power function went out. And I cant stand the vibration drives me nuts!!. Anyways I read on some GM forums about tighting up a spring by adding washers. does anyone on here have the same problem and can we do the same to are mirrors to stop the vibration? if not I guess ill deal with it till next year when I get the power tele/fold/heat/turn all the bells n whistles 08 mirror. Right now I currently have the 07 tow mirrors with turn/heat/power.

What brand are they? Where did you get them?

I haven't seen any complaints from those that have purchased mirrors from 1aAuto.

...and can we do the same to our mirrors to stop the vibration?
Sorry, there is no spring we can shim with washers.

Did you get a replacement "paddle" or "tow" mirror? My stock paddle mirrors had a small amount of vibration - but it wasn't too bad.
I have NO problem with vibrations from my Tow mirrors from SuperDutyService.

I bought a replacement mirror for my Tahoe long-time ago and it vibrated terribly to where I couldn't use it at highway speeds.

I picked these up from ebay no name. I know it is made in Taiwan thats about it. They rattlegoing over 65 on the hhighway and over any bumps on the road. Its driving me nuts I found how to take the rear cover off the mirror but there is no wat to get the mirror off unless I break it. Idk I have up yesterday and put the cover back on I guess ill deal with it till next year. Lesson learned no ebay mirrors.

Lots of FTE'rs have the aftermarket ones sold by 1aAuto. Most from right here in the Ex forum.

It's been awhile since I looked, but I think the ones sold by 1aAuto are the same ones sold by Super Duty Service.

stupid question, but are you sure you have the base bolted on tight enough. It would only take a little bit for the whole unit to shake/rattle/roll

ditto! and we have horrendous roads out here that would multiply any shaking if the mirrors were so inclined.

If you check in the vendors section,, there is a better price on these from us. We ran a little promotion and got it extended. It's not much cheaper,, iirc it's 320 shipped. I think there's 3 more sets at that price. It's a lil FTE promo. We're stair stepping up to the original price.

Need to read through the thread,, we sold the 310 ones
