Finally finished my collection

I finally was able to finish my collection of Canadian 1948-56 chassis and body part catalogues. You guys have it easy for the American ones as they are plentiful. Two of these books came from Australia!

While it would be nice to have a complete collection from 1946-1972 but I think I've spent enough already. It's kind of neat to see what was offered back in the day. Although some of the VIN breakdown information isn't 100% all there though. I do have all the paint codes however.

well dueller nice collection , but it aren't so easy as you say to find 'em here in the states . even on evil bay if they're available they always seem to be to high priced or you end up in a last minute bidding war with someone for them .

Congratulations on completing your collection, its nice to have all the information at your fingertips. I prefer a book over a CD any day. The internet has made looking for hard to find items so much easier, I really admire the guys who practiced this hobby b4 the net and repop company's.

Turns out I'm not quite done. I've made a deal for an illustration catalogue that goes with my 1956 book. I'm also looking at another but I'll have to see how that pans out...

Both of my books came today.

I found the final Canadian 1948-60 book but it doesn't contain 1000-8000 part sections and the vin decoding section. I want to make a compete vin post for the Canadian trucks but I don't quite have everything.

I finally got my other Canadian Master Parts catalog (if you haven't already noticed the Canadian Vin thread). Turns out the first book I bought was actually Vol. 2 even though the binder had a Vol. 1 label. Quite the coincidence to end up with a complete set.

I was hoping it would've had a complete vin breakdown for the Canadian trucks. It just has basic info for Canadian and full breakdown for American ones. It even is labeled wrong as it says vin breakdown for 1948-54. Plus only has body parts listing for 1955-60. So I still would need to refer to my 1948-51 and 1952-54 Body books for older parts. So much for being the "Master Catalog". Although I wish I could buy a "new" set for just $20 per set plus binders with dividers $21.25 for a total $41.25 but that price would be circa about 1965.

Here's a list of Canadian books I've seen so far and I've included the part numbers for the ones I know:

That would be the final edition for the 1956 trucks as I had guessed. I've seen the 1949 book before. The 1951 book has all those part numbers.

All the master catalogues are currently on ebay if you want to spend a small fortune.

Nice set of Canadian Manuals. I was given the Canadian 1948 Chassis parts catalogue. I am looking for the Canadian 48 to 51 catalogue like you have for my 51.
