Parts neede for HPFP replacement

So the old beast threw the p0088 code. Guess that the HPFP is on it's way out. Gonna have to book some time in my garage and switch it out. I am curious what parts are needed in order to do the repair. Can all the gaskets and seals be used again? Does the pump come in a kit?

If you are planning on doing the repair yourself in your garage, I assume it means you plan on NOT lifting the cab. If that's so, all I can say is HAVE FUN. You know the HPFP is not light by any means, and neither are the turbos (which will obviously need to be removed if you're not lifting the cab). That said, you will need a turbo kit (don't know the part number off the top of my head). The gaskets and lines should all be included with the HPFP, along with the big thick blue zipties for the VCV and PCV connectors. GOOD LUCK.

This thing is hard to work on with cab on possible but difficult. If you lift the cab all you have to do is remove the up pipes and it comes out turbo stays in. Cab on fuel cooler comes off along with everything bolted to the turbo u pipe and when removing the turbos be careful the line that goes from the fuel filter housing to the fuel cooler needs to come off it will get destroyed well mine did. The gasket comes in a kit and you need rtv for under the gasket just in 2 small places where two surfaces meet and the sealing surface for the hpfp cover gasket isn't level. I'm not done yet but I'm getting close need help lifting the turbos and up pipes is a two man job one down bottom and one on top laying on that engine is so comfy. Have any more questions just ask I tried to be more helpful and sorry for the long post.

Check out the bible in the tech folder. It has the part # needed to remove the turbos.

If I were to do this job at the house I would remove the hood.

I would also raise the cab up and put some 2x4's between cab and frame for more clearance.

Thanks for the feedback. Talked to a couple of dealers about the pump and one said that I would also need to replace the pump cover as it was updated. Anyone hear of any update like that? I haven't read anything on that. I realize they changed stuff on the 08's with the wire placement, but mine is a 2010.

Pump cover man I need to look into that. They did change the crush washers idiots were re using them. The gasket was changed to include wire loom it would chafe a wire and throw pump codes. Also be sure to use the included zip ties. Oh and if you have a chafed wire under the pump cover I would replace that and call it a day. The pump itself is expensive but I'm sure you know that by now.

It was the 08's that had the wiring chafing issue.
