Way cooler than sending it to the scrapper

A guy that I work with is an amazing artist and he has a friend who has a real cool get a way out in the country. He was given this 1938 Ford bus that was ready for the scrapper and he decided to make it a display at the entrance of his property. My friend had a vision to paint it like a 1960's hippie bus. Here's the bus in all of it's new colors, enjoy.

Wow - there is some serious vision and ability on display. Kudos to the artist.

Don't go giving Doc ideas. His flatbed looks fine just the way it is.

Cool looking yard art. You're right, it beats sending it to the scrapper.

At first glance I thought the lighthouse was a gas pump.

Would like to something like that in my front yard but I think that the wife would shoot me.

I think I remember riding in that bus back in the 60s !! All the memories kind of run together from back then. Great job the artist must have been from the era

As neat as the bus is the tractor operator stole the coolness award!

I'm a sucker for loud colors. I'd drive that bus Any Day! Too bad it's yard art.

Some of the younger generation are going to think you are a little off and will be going to play on the floor

Actually, vinyl is making a bit of a resurgence that is driven predominantly by the 14-20 yr. olds. I think that's cool.
Look at U-Turn Audio, a recent -AMERICAN- startup that is having more orders for turntables than they can fill in timely fashion.

A friend of mine painted a bus like that back in '69. He used laquer, krylon, and rustoleum and all manner of rattle cans. The air was thick with aromatic solvents and fumes when I came by, but I didn't inhale.....
