How high over cab roof is a backrack? Or other rack suggestions.

Looking at this model backrack
Amazon.com: Backrack 10501TB Backrack: Automotive Amazon.com: Backrack 10501TB Backrack: Automotive
trying to see if the 2 vertical post are higher than the cab lights. I am in many 6' 8"- 7' parking garages and my truck is right at 6' 6" at the top of the lights. I would really like to find a rack with an open middle section, and even with the top of the cab. Suggestions welcome.

I'd say my backrack "uprights" sit just about dead even with the lights. If you want, I will take a measurement from the ground to the top of my rack and post it so you have a point of reference...I will do it tomorrow morning before work. It's installed on my '06 F250 CCSB with 285/75/17's, so roughly 34" tires. Stay tuned.

Thanks, my '14 has 34.5" tire on 20's. The backrack or a diy is leading the list based on price.

My truck is currently sitting, with rack, at about 6'8"-6'9". I'm well over 7 feet with my antennas, but those don't count. I'm measuring pretty darn close to 6'8" tall at the highest point of my clearance lights too though. Either way, I'm pretty scared of parking garages unless they advertise "truck parking", which luckily a handful in Boston do...good luck! Consider this though, if you DIY, you can make it whatever size you want.
