Abe, my seat foam is 2”. The back foam seems like 3” tapering down to 2”. It seems too thick. The old stuff looked like 1” thick cotton batting and cheesecloth.

Yes, I had the tapered seat back foam from MidFifty but he said it wasn't wide enough.

My NOS material has some rust spots on the seat back. The place I bought it from says they soon will be reproducing it. He told me to call him in 6 months and he'll replace my material. At that time I will have my Amish upholsterer redo my seat back with the cotton batting like it was originally.

I finished the seat this week. Think it looks good. I used Mid Fifty’s foam and couldn’t pull the seat back cover to where it should be hog ringed. Over a period of weeks I pulled and stretched getting it closer, but not where it was hog ringed. I ended up using 2 hog rings to give me extra length. It’s nice and tight. Dennis

I went up to the cabin this weekend and brought 2 doors and the welder along. I believe I have the rare optioned insulated Ford doors. Dennis

Inner door bottoms needed replacing. Patch panels aren’t a perfect fit.

Wow! Insulated doors corners but insulated with seat material! No wonder your doors rusted out.... Wall that wet stuff and mouse pee!

It looks like your passenger door won for largest mouse nest.

Are your doors lighter now?

Ok here’s the drivers side door. A little more work to get it to fit.

I started to grind my welds this afternoon. I have 2 passenger doors, apparently I picked the wrong one. This one was green underneath.
