It was just mufflers exiting straight back and the noise in the cab was LOUD!

I shortened the flow tubes, and cut the old tail pipes down for the side exit and its very quiet at idle now. When I let it rip it gets pretty noisy but not bad in the cab.

Like the side exhaust idea, how does it look from standing level?

You cant really see the pipes unless your kneel down and look, which is what I wanted.

I function tested the power steering hose and it seems to be holding. I did notice a slight fuel leak at my return line from the regulator so I will address that tomorrow.

Its been a while so I figured I'd check back in. Nothing new with the truck, just keep putting miles on it when its nice out. I am considering a few things to upgrade:

Electric wiper motor
Lowering the front ride (might remove a coil or 2, drop springs or air-ride)
Redo the bed wood
Still want to take care of the interior
The big thing I have been focusing on is cleaning up some of the sloppy work I did on the truck to make it more presentable.

A quick update, I haven't been on here in quite some time:

I had a fuel starvation issue so I decided to swap my fuel tank/pump setup. I went with a Tanks Inc 1969 Mustang tank, baffled. It has a Fitech in-tank pump. I am also rerunning my return line and cleaning things up a bit.

I also cut a coil our of the front struts, the truck was riding very rough and there wasn't much give when compressing the suspension. I am considering going with air ride but I'll need to do something with the rear frame (c-notch most likely). I am also considering getting rid of the leaf springs and going with parallel bars.

Any suggestions on a cost effective rear suspension setup?
