To run the double springs he milled the end of the pedestal down a tiny bit and said it was perfect compressed/open pressures.
11" clutch
Ceramic coated headers silver with a flake
Powder coated with flake and clear intake. Sparks pretty nice
What do these do? One is oil pressure one is another sensor. The red goes to a hot group(bunch of red splicebtogether) the other. Purple/black not sure due to oil covering it all, goes to a group /cluster of the same color.
What's the other plug there do? And the other one?
Yeah it's higher then I wanted, but it sure will make good power and I'll make sure if any hills/good load will be happen, I'd make sure to add an octane booster and higher grade fuel. We will see how she runs
What my plan is so far as far as actual break in, once everything is in and good, I'll do a few rides around town, then haul it back here to base, and do a nightly hour or so long trip to like Savannah or Hilton head and spend some joy riding time with the girl. And let everything break in, then after a week or two of this it should be broken in plenty and I'll drive it back home four hours and then if it's still good I'll dyno her and post the results
What are the other two wires? Do I need them? They run to the computer. The others run back to the cab. My temp sensor was a cylindrical plug, not a cap I remember that.
The other question is, what do the other two wiring harness plugs do? I know they do something regarding getting rid of the feedback and going with a duraspark2 set up, but last I checked all those pictures were down.
My evtm manual never made it to me..30$ to the friggen wind:l
I hope these will let you answer your own questions. You should be able to figure it out from the color codes of the wires and what wires go in each connector.
I used my buds84 and the one plug goes to the ignition coil(big plug on the fender)another to the ignition module on the dizzy and the other had the one plug(red) and then two wires I lost bcuz they were odd colors I couldn't find. But no yellow plug.
I really wish my manual came in
I'm putting the motor and ****bin this weekend and getting as far done as I can.
tfi on the distributor(red/blue) should be my ignition wire
motor going in
sitting for the night
looking good!
new motor mounts, right truck and year and all but i have this gap?
this is a 19mm deep well socket between my ttb crossmember and my oil pan...theres enough room to honestly drop the pan
other side is flush
now as im sure you all remember, i have the small block trans and that means its too long to fit everything else as it was.
well i moved the crossmember back about an inch, and the zf5 crossmember i picked up, which is for a diesel trans(three holes) has the "ears" that curve back. this means my upper bolts stay the same, and my crossmember moves back an inch, so ill drill a hole in my frame, before the natural bend, but far enough away from the old bolt hole.
the diesel crossmember also is shorter(when looking at it installed in the truck) which helps with alignment and the trans cover, which i did beat like a stepchild to help it out.
the three holes wont fit my two hole transmission mount, so i will be drilling it out to fit and that should make it fit perfectly, my t case fit with a hand between it and the cab so i should be good!
shiney black is the new one!
only regret so far, is not having that electrical manual, and not painting that darn transmission:/ oh well
clutch and everything is bolting up fine, she should be mounted and started to be put back together tomorrow! or by the end of the weekend!
