Thanks for the update Jackson, it's great to see you moving forward. I'm sure you're as ready to see your truck done as we all are. I finally see a little snow in your pictures, WOW!!! I had to borrow a tractor today to shove my snowbanks back because there is no more room to plow snow at home. Cruising season is a loooooong ways off in Northern Ontario.
Keep up the great work!

I've been saying I'd do it for forever now but yesterday I finally did it. I was up until 6am getting my truck ready to roll for my morning delivery. It sure was strange seeing my truck outside. It's been a long time since I've seen that. My buddy Daryl has a specialized transport company and he picked it up in the morning and brought it to my other buddy's speed shop. He's got my cooler end tanks all made up, just needs to fit and mount them in place and then build my exhaust and fuel line for me. I'm excited to finally see progress on this thing and I'm sure you guys are too.
Cover up that engine. Keep dust off of it.

My exhaust is done and my custom coolers are 95% done. I'll give you a teaser on my Y pipe for now. My fab guy sent me these photos. He said he greatly appreciated me studding the manifolds. I believe him. Holding two exhausts manifolds and an intake manifold at the same time while trying to insert bolts is quite the dance.

Okay, it's been a long time coming but I finally have some progress worth sharing to you guys! Sorry for the wait. "Speed of right," as has been said numerous times in this thread by our Southern friend... but in this case probably more along the lines of the "speed of the friend rate at a busy shop." It's been a few years, so I'm willing to wait that extra little bit if it means not paying full shop rate. Not paying full shop rate also means I'm not really allowed to throw a tantrum when things aren't happening super quick. Pay to play.
Anyway, seems I last updated you with a photo of the Y-pipe he was making. He's so far done the entire exhaust, made the radiator, oil coolers, intercooler, thermostat housing, and the PCV catch can system. He's also finished the wiring on the truck. Fairly soon I'll be sending all the aluminum off for anodizing to be black, as well as painting the fuel pump and distributor black. I don't like the look of exposed metal, and I really don't like the look of a silver cooler behind the grille.
As you can see we opted to do a stacked setup, with the intercooler on top of the radiator. This way they both get direct airflow and neither has to fight for air being behind the other. The oil coolers, although likely unnecessary, have a fan attached to them. This is most likely not needed in a street application, but may prove to be helpful in a race or heavy towing application. Nothing wrong with being a little bit overkill.
I don't have any good photos of the exhaust or oil coolers, but I've included some that he's sent me. The photos of the "in-progress" pieces are also photos he's sent me.
