I am so sorry to hear this.
I felt like Steve and I were friends even though we have only communicated with each other across the country on this site.
Here's another picture of Steve with NHRDA president Randy. Steve was as much a man on the track, as anywhere else. He earned the respect of everyone in the scene, and was a top notch competitor.
Just saw the news and saddened to hear of his sudden passing. Always enjoyed his Ride of the Week findings and words to describe his contributions to FTE just don't seem adequate. RIP Steve. (Hand Salute)
Sad news indeed. I didn't chat with him much but when I did he was very friendly. Wish I got to know him more. RIP Steve You will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
I just put two and two together from facebook posts and jumped on here.
I never had the opportunity to meet Steve in person but I chatted with him quite a bit.
Steve, you will be missed by the rest of us. God Bless.
I too am one of the few lucky ones to meet Steve at Carlisle. Why are some of us selected to go before the old farts? Because we weren't good enough to pave the way! RIP Steve.... hold on, we'll all meet with you again!
