I remember the 1st time Steve showed up in the club...it was a round of the usual debauchery. Suddenly this new guy SteveBricks starts chirping. I think who the heck is this guy to show up and just jump in without any introduction etc. it took me all of 15 minutes to decide he was A-OK! By the end of the week we were waiting to see what senseless drivel he was contributing. I then had an oppportunity to break bread with Steve and Gail as they were passing nearby. It was a completely lackluster meal, but fantastic company. I cannot tell you how many times Steve made me evacuate my beverage through my nose either here or on FB. He had a genuine knack for it. Godspeed my friend, we will meet again...just not yet.
To the rest of my long lost friends here on FTE, hello and may God bless all of you, and comfort you as we mourn the loss of our friend.

This, in the words of SteveBricks himself "Knuckleheaded,pinto-driving interloper and beet-truck shill" will miss him.
There are very few people out there with a heart as big as his was.

.........Probably because he was just so involved. He actually took the time to do actual 'truck' and racing stuff....and meeting others from FTE either one-on-one........or at gatherings. The epitome of the member who makes FTE what it really is.......or should be.
Yeah....Looking at the pictures, geez! What is he? 6'4"? 6'5"?

That's what I call being involved and caring about the enthusiast community - something I need to be better than I am at.

For the Family and Friends of Steve Price....
"SONG OF THE RIVER"
The snow melts on the mountain
And the water runs down to the spring,
And the spring in a turbulent fountain,
With a song of youth to sing,
Runs down to the riotous river,
And the river flows on to the sea,
And the water again
Goes back in rain
To the hills where it used to be.
And I wonder if Life's deep mystery
Isn't much like the rain and the snow
Returning through all eternity
To the places it used to know.
For life was born on the lofty heights
And flows in a laughing stream
To the river below
Whose onward flow
Ends in a peaceful dream.
And so at last,
When our life has passed
And the river has run its course,
It again goes back,
O'er the selfsame track,
To the mountain which was its source.
So why prize life
Or why fear death,
Or dread what is to be?
The river ran its allotted span
Till it reached the silent sea.
Then the water harked back to the mountaintop
To begin its course once more.
So we shall run the course begun
Till we reach the silent shore,
Then revisit earth in a pure rebirth
From the heart of the virgin snow.
So don't ask why we live or die,
Or wither, or when we go,
Or wonder about the mysteries
That only God may know.

Finally found some pics of Steve.
At a So Cal GTG driving the Cleghorn trail. I had not brought any food with me, and Steve offered me one of his sandwiches.
The end of the trail, getting ready to head over to hill 582 for some train watching.
Same GTG, but at hill 582 (a famous rail fan spot) near the BN&SF line.
