Parts F250 Canada

Hi Guys

is there a parts supplier like LMC in Canada I have a friend coming back to england in september on holiday and I was hoping to order a couple of things for him to bring back with him he lives in Ottawa but I understand if I order from the states there will be more import duty to pay.

I am looking for the following parts for my 1978 F250 Bench seat cover in Red vinyl OEM style and a Tornneua cover kit also a red door liner passenger side.

best regards to all

Steve

Actually, you can order a lot of stuff from Canadian Tire. Not too sure if they have that stuff but they do have a "specialty" catalogue that you can buy for like $12. Tons of stuff in there. I bought carpet, door panels and a dash cap from them a couple of years ago.

Not sure if this will help you in the future but Rock Auto will ship to UK. When you go to their website, right above the column where you select the vehicle manufacturer, you can change the pricing to British pounds.

The closest place to get parts from is Mac's in Lockport NY which is just outside of Niagara Falls. Your friend can order them and then go for a nice weekend trip to the falls (about 4.5 hours from Ottawa) and pic the stuff up for you. Other than that, you can see what shipping is from Lockport to Ottawa. One thing, if you get anything shipped cross border do not use UPS or FedEx. Use US Postal service only. The others will ding you with heavy brokerage fees as well as the duties and tax's. Going through the post office there are no brokerage fees and only on some occasions do you get hit with the tax's. Sometimes the stuff just shows up at your door with no additional fee's, it's hit and miss, depends on Canada post (US Postal transfers to Canada post when it cross's the border).

The great thing about Mac's is they have a price match guarantee so if you find your part somewhere else for less and can show them in a catalog or give them a web link they will price match. I do it all the time with them and they never give me a hard time.
