ABS Question
my ABS light is has been on for a while now, but im finally replacing all the rotors, so its all apart now, and I would like to fix it while its still apart. my question is, is there a way to diagnose what part of the ABS is actually causing the light? at a glance, the wheel sensors and the wires going to them look sound. a few years ago, my father said he might have damaged the drivers side one, but ive inspected it in the past and didn't see any damage. I thought I saw a harbor freight ABS diagnostic tool, but don't know if itll work, and don't want to spend the money on a tool ill prolly never use again

I had a bad ABS sensor on mine that got damaged when I removed it to grease the unit bearings. My truck would pull to the left and you could hear the ABS cycling. My right front sensor was bad. The ABS light came on a couple times but went off when the truck was shut off.
I would find a local garage and have them scan it for DTCs. The dealer will charge more to check the codes usually.

like just a reg. scanner like autozone does? because last time they scanned it my truck threw about 11 codes lol that was like two weeks ago..i have them all written down

The Autozone scanner isn't likely to get those codes, if it's not on your list you will need to find someone with a more capable scan tool. Where are you located?

im in east haven,ct ...when I go out to the truck, ill grab the paper with all the codes

ok great thank you..ill be at the Comcast theater on weds. the 13th, but I don't think ill have the truck
