Very nice. I would love to find a 4,000 rpm 6 cyl. tach that size.

Thank you, Bob. Summit does list a VDO 0-4000RPM tach, but in the description it states that it is for a diesel. It may receive it's signal from an alternator instead of the ignition, so I don't know if it would work for you.

6v or 12v? Check Faria Instruments, they have lots of marine instruments, high quality, should have one like that, but only 12v.

A little more progress.

I made a larger heater control mounting bracket so I could add a water valve control cable and a cigar lighter to power a GPS and a phone charger. I will replace the lighter **** with a tan one to match the other *****.

The original bracket.

The water control valve and cable.

I also painted and installed the tail light brackets and tail lights.

The driver's side.

Thanks, Mark

Nicely done, but inquiring minds want to know how you made the larger bracket so perfect.

Bob, I have several shot scraps of aluminum I beam, I used a piece to machine the bracket out of. I use a Bridgeport manual mill with a Newall digital readout.

Aluminum angle would have been easier, but this is what I have. I also machined a bracket to mount the two flashers under the dash out of the same material.

Actually both pieces are fairly simple mill work.
Thanks for your reply and kind words, Mark

Well, that 'splains it perfectly. Yeah, a ball head cutter. It's always nice when you have the right equipment too.

I temporarily mounted the bed clearance/marker lights today. I mounted them on pieces of flat belting left over from my milling machine. I will remove them and paint the belting black and repaint the light housings.

The amber front corner.

The back corner.

I need at least one more of these red Cats-Eye lenses.

I love those lights. Most people call them beehive lights. I just went to eBay and searched "Vintage red beehive lights". I found several.

Your bed looks great, by the way.

Cool looking lights. Looks like "watermelon" glass lenses. Did you get them from United Pacific?

Thanks, Abe and Bob. I bought the lights at a local flea market/antique mall. I bought 5 NOS in the original boxes, all amber. They have 6V bulbs and fabric covered wire pigtails, so I would assume that they were from the early '50s. I really like the shape of the lense.

I found this red lense at a swap meet, but I need at least 1 more.

Here is a photo of the box and one of the lamps up close.

I would actually love to find 4 red lenses. I have an ICC light bar with 3 amber lenses in it that I would like to mount on the rear of the truck.
Thanks, Mark
