2010 F150 XLT Caliper Problems

I recently replaced my pads and rotors. The driver side was no problem, but on the passenger side, when I was finished, the caliper was rubbing up against the rim of the tire. I took both tires off to compare the differences, I noticed that my passenger side caliper is not going down as deep on the pads as the driver side. The caliper on the passenger side depressed with no problems and had no problems fitting over the pads. Whats really confusing is that all of my bolt holes line up. Any suggestions????

I have a 2010 F150 XLT 4X4, and I took my truck mudding the other. After I cleaned the truck off I noticed a noise that sounded like grinding/glass in a blender coming from what I think is the front passenger side. The sound only appears when I accelerate my truck, not when I press the break or take my foot off of the gas pedal. Also the sound goes away when I put my truck in 4 high and 4 low. Any suggestions on what this could be?

It might be time to have your dealer check this out, Caleb_Maldo. What's the current mileage?

Did you pull the wheel, caliper and rotor to inspect it? I'd start there, might be mud/rocks/grit where it shouldn't be

Sounds to me like the right wheel hub is trying to engage, you may have damaged a vacuum line, when you are on the gas, vacuum is reduced and with a leaking vacuum line, it may be enough to try to engage that wheel hub into a locked position, when you let off on the gas vacuum returns and overcomes the leak, vacuum is what keeps the hubs unlocked if I am not mistaken.

Front Brake pad locations

Does anyone know if there is a Ford TSB regarding the inner / outer pads?

Yes I did watch the video. Just wondering if it happens so frequently and can cause damage - why doesn't Ford make there Techs aware with an official bulletin?
