What Clutch set use and what else to do?

Going to put a clutch in the 94 F150 4.9 with the mazda 5 speed trans. Looking for input on what to buy, from where and what else to do while we have it apart. Truck has about 140,000 miles. There so many different kits on ebay that it is over whelming to choose.

Many come with a new slave cylinder, is this necessary? Should we get a new pressure plate or have ours resurfaced? Organic of other clutch disk.

Running 4.10 gears with 33" BFG mud terrains.

Whats the good word here and thanks.

On a side note, found a brand new front bumper and grill insert today that was taken off when new back in 94, stored inside. Got for a $100. CL rules sometimes. Will add picks soon

I've always had good luck with Zooms 30000 series clutch kits. They've held up fine in everything from DDs to wheeling rigs with FEs and 38s.

I'd recommend getting a genuine Motorcraft slave cylinder, the auto parts store house brands don't have nearly the same quality.

Replace it all, including slave cylinder(if not and it fails you have to pull it all apart again). Surface flywheel and get new pilot bearing.

As for which clutch? For general all around use, I would get a LUK stock replacement. They make them for OEM, so it is good quality. Many kits come with throw out bearing and some even pilot bearing. Don't skimp.
