51 F1 po 12v conversion

I am beginning to understand that special feeling you guys have for the PO'S. Truck was sold as converted to 12v. When it arrived, it started right up. Next day battery was dead. I charged and let set overnight. Battery voltage was good next morning. Wires are everywhere in the engine bay except nothing connects generator to battery. Started truck and got zero volts from generator. Voltage reg and generator are 6 volt and not working. Ordered alternator kit.

The whole truck will need rewiring and thanks to this forum, I think I understand the process to make it 12volts. New universal harness is on order.

Also PO said emergency brake not working. Handle rusted shut and when the po installed the plywood bed, he drilled a hole right through the linkage, and installed the nut.

Not really complaining, I wanted a project and got it. Can't wait to continue the discovery phase!

That's the spirit! Welcome! The finished trucks are boring, LOL.
