Had a good time at the B-day party. I had four drinks which is a TON for me. The food was really good, too.

Had a great time at the cruise and booked an overall paint job on a 70ss Crapmaro for November. Foundered myself at Arris Pizza Palace and now home to watch some US Nationals qualifying. Our friend's house appears to be our friends' house and it was my dad's best friend's house when I was in high school.

chip are you trying to confuse me.. do the friends live at the same house.. or different friends at the same house... or new friends at a old friends house..

chip a 70 camaro could go either way..1st gen or second.. i once had a "puke" green on green with black stripes 70 1/2 with the split frt. bumper.. had a real love - hate relationship with that car.. h60s and N50s were cool back then and it handled great..but i was poor and had to put a set of skinny re-caps on it.. it didnt like it and it committed suicide on the way to baton rouge one night..

See the grey Ford...I had 50's on the rear and 60's on the front with out p/s...and a 429 when I was 15 and 16.

How old is that pic, it was taken with a ol flip top "Brownie" camera.

See the tape/white stuff just left of the rear view mirror on the w/s, that is from me throwing a big flat tip screwdriver and sticking it thru it....mad a hell.

 

Hopefully before the end of sept...its getting cold over here already.

 

you have such cool pics rich... i wish i would of cared more about taking and keeping pics back then.. .. even when i was older and in the A/F still i never owned a camera..what few pics from back in the day that i have now someone else took and gave to me..

Well I was lucky to have taken pics with the camera my grandma gave me. It is the only picture of the grey truck I have. And I never got one of the 67 Mercury cyclone I had....

No matter what NOTHING can take away the memories you have, and that's what matters. Good times, good memories and good friends and cold beer, right?

In the 60's and 70's what you had in each hand is all a man needed, right? Well you were king back then and just as cool now, so rock on!

 

Good Morning Everybody!

I managed to tick Tiff off this morning. She's going to the lake. I'm going to the shop. I need to get stuff done and she thinks I need to get nothing done. Problem is, bills don't get paid like that. ....so off I go to the shop.

 

Alan, it's a 70 with a split bumper RS/SS with a 496. My buddy Alan owns it, I was blown away last night, I was looking it over to give him an estimate and another cat offered to paint it, Alan told him I'm the only one who paints his cars no matter how cheap somebody else might be. RC, the house was presumably for a friend who is getting divorced and letting her husband keep the house, turns out she and another female friend of ours are for lack of a better term...domestic partners. They're both happy as can be.

 

That's the way it seems to work. I spent an hour on Blackbird this morning and now have a list to knock out before relaxing.
