Happy hot August to all. On Friday, I stopped off at an exhaust shop to see the cost of tail pipes on my old timer. Guy said $110....DONE! From my existing glasspax, they brought the tails all the way out to under the bumper. Sounds like a led sled, which I'm more than ok with. Inside the cab is wonderfully quiet now. Power steering last month, and pipes this month...It's almost a fun truck to drive. Next up is to adapt the hydrobooost unit I got from pick n pull, and add disc brakes.
hey gents. thanks for the compliments. we just got back from hiking about 10 miles in redwood basin state park out there by saratoga. good weather, the falls were running which was nice to see. 17 days 'till we start on the whitney trail! hope were ready.
have a good evening out there and speed slowly!
cheers.
Have a great Sunday everyone, going to be bbqing a couple racks of ribs later and soaking a few coldies as well. Going to be a cool 94 today! Good to read everyone is doing well wrenching and all.
Just got home from a week in Yosemite last night. Entered the park from Tioga Pass and drove out the South gate through Oakhurst and Merced. Didn't make it further South than Oakhurst so was still a ways from Fresno (Jim's stomping grounds) but same general area. Dang, Jim, you live in some freakin' HOTASS'd country. Good to be home now where it's cooler.
BD I can tell you exactly how many members we have in the chapter. 179. Of course, not all of them post here, and I just approved A/Ox4 from the So Cal chapter because he lives in/near Bakersfield now.
I have not purged the chapter list in a while, so that number will change if I ever do, but for now it is at 179.
Tim, yeah it is too hot here in the summer time for me, but my friends are here, and that more than makes up for the toasty weather.
Good Afternoon NorCal...Two big fires to the south of me. One just jumped by 200% this morning from last night. A little cooler here today thanks to all the smoke. The people attending "Reggae on the River" must be choking...Oh! maybe that's why it's so smoky here. Hope they're having fun.
same thing with concerts they should be called Hemp event, Monday is on the horizon , with some rain in the forecast I hope the dam up in twain heart stays good, they are letting water out as we speak.
I spent many a summer at Twain Harte...Out at the old Yancey ranch on the back road to Columbia. Now if I remember right, Twain Harte Lake was created by the dam. Met my first love there...I was 15 years old, and she a little younger. I understand she's still in the area. I won't say when that was, but you can bet that was a long time ago.
