Howdy Ken. Looks like the weather has everyone napping today. I wish I was home napping right now. Tendinitis has been acting up most of the week in my one foot. How are you doing today?

It's the Shaun-ster!!! Sorry to hear about the tendinitis acting up. Is it in any way related to the weather???

I had a good day...we had a GTG...only Don and I showed up...had a nice lunch at an Italian restaurant...and...some good conversation.

I think it is the weather causing it Ken. I am managing with it like I always do. Since I am off the for 2 days after this I can prop the feet up and relax a good bit. Sounds good. Good food, good conversation and good friends are always needed. The only things I know I need to do this weekend is take the truck over for its tune up and go to the grocery store.

Lets get your priorities straight...the grocery store...then...the service department. How many miles on your truck?

Just shy of 69K on the truck Ken. I figure grocery store after the tune up since the dealer I will be taking it too is 20 minutes away. grocery store is closer to home and easier to go to on the way back home. Besides I will be able to get an extra slice of cake to make me feel better after paying for the tune up.

The book does say 100K but with how the truck gets run sometimes I figure it is safer to get them changed a bit earlier. Every now and then the truck does get run pretty hard, idled at times for at least 30 minutes, taken off road in various points so changing them early will not hurt in the least. Also have to factor in that the truck does have a tune installed. ( which will be taken out before the tune up of course)

Better to be safe than sorry!!! An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...and...any other cliché you can think of. You've got a lot invested in your truck...gotta take care of her!!!

Thats what I am thinking. It is certainly cheaper to replace the plugs a bit earlier then they say then not do it and have expensive repairs that have to be done later. Besides if I am able to make it to the function next month having good plugs in the truck would be a good thing for a run on the dyno.

Thanks Dick...too bad you couldn't make it...the Sammy's Baawston were nice and frosty!!!

Don told me you had to dump some more $$$ in your mistress for brakes this week. Nothing is cheap anymore!!! Hopefully that's it for a good long while!!!

I bet you'd like to see what that baby turns with her tune on!!! Beware......sometimes things get broken on dyno runs!!! Just ask this guy...

I know it can happen Ken. But it would be nice to see the difference between stock and the towing tune which I usually run because of the winch and leveling kit up front. Would also help dial in the speedo better.
