Hi ya"ll... What kind of mpgs could a guy expect to get in a 93'-97' sbrc 4x4 straight 6 either auto/stick?

That depends on the overall condition of the vehicle and how you drive. However, based on my reading since joining FTE and also on my own experience with Ford's I6 you should get anywhere from 15 to 20 highway mpg.

 

That seems about right on my 300 is 15 city 20 highway

 

A/t or stick ?

 

My 81 4X2 RCLB F250 was stick. My brothers 79 F150 4X4 SCLB was an auto. Both got high teens.

 

Thanks for the quick response, I've got a 4.0 4x4 ranger and thinking I might like a SCSB with a six , mostly for the torque around colorado mountains then when on the hiway get about the same as my ranger.Just not sure about the stick for the torque , really like my auto.

My friend has a I6 in his bronco and he gets 14 city/18 highway, 20mpg seems kind of high but ya at best you would probably see that which is pretty good. But average driver that is pretty heavy on the take off and brakes I would say city 13-14 and highway 17-18

 

It all depends on how you drive it. Anywhere from 14 to 20.

93 4X4, 2 1/2" lift on 33" mud terrains. Get 16-18 consistently.

 

My old truck would consistantly get 19-20 highway, depending on the speed. Usually around 70mph. If I pushed it to 75 it went to 18 pretty quick.

I usually got 17-18 in town. I drive easy and coast to stop lights. I had the 5speed. awesome truck and would pull the house down, just not very quickly
